A welcome from Jennifer Charles, MS, BCBA
Founder - Behavior Analyst

"I love working with children with autism! Although it's not always apparent, they are usually eager and grateful to learn effective skills to help them better manage their environment. I enjoy getting in there and finding out which method would be most effective and seeing noticeable changes."

Jennifer, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology
and Minor in Business Management from Florida State University. After working with people with disabilities and the autistic population, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology.

Jennifer served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida working and teaching parenting classes while working with the foster care system. Jennifer later began

working with children with autism and developed a passion for early intervention therapies. Utilizing an interactive approach Jennifer creates a partnership with the client and caregivers necessary for development of goals, healthy boundaries, and empowerment of the client for change. Directly building on client strengths and modeling new behavior offers the client the opportunity to achieve milestones leading to increased self-esteem and more satisfying interactions. Jennifer believes understanding one's challenges and roadblocks open the door to new attitudes as well as interest in changing our behaviors.

Autism Early Intervention

Early intervention is key for treating children with autism. When started early enough the child can catch up to peers in their age group. With a good schedule of ongoing ABA therapy, they child can become virtually indistinguishable from children of his or her peer group.

Autism Speaks and Lectures

Less than a decade ago autism rates were reported at 1 in 10,000 now it's 1 in 88. This is clearly an area where people want and need more information. Speakers are available to speak for your organization for educational as well as informative purposes anywhere in the country on various important topics regarding autism and autism treatment.

Parent Training

Parent training is essential for new behaviors the child has learned to generalize outside of the therapy environment. Parents learn a valuable skill to as well as triggers to their child’s behaviors. The goal is to help the caregivers eventually know everything that the therapist knows.

Staff training

Staff need to be competent by being trained by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst on behavior analytic procedures as well as intervention strategies. Courses are available on various topics and custom fit for your organization.

Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy

While there are many other options for treating children with Autism, Applied Behavior Analyst (ABA) is the only one that is empirically validated and taught in the universities as an effective method for treating children with autism. Only trust your child's autism treatment to scientifically proven strategies and methods with competent behavioral interventionists.

Behavioral Plans and Interventions

The great and unique thing about ABA therapy is that the plans are individualized to fit your child's needs. Since Autism is a spectrum, that means no two cases are exactly alike. Therefore the best treatment would be customized to fit your child and your family's needs.

Behavioral Solutions

Behavioral solutions involve anything that can be seen and heard. Therefore all behaviors have achievable and noticeable goals, which are measured and constantly re-measured throughout time to focus on our progress as well as whether the goals are being reached.
